Your trust is the foundation of PetShield Pro. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used to protect your pet.

Walk Guard Premium

Walk Guard Premium is the active walk-monitoring experience inside PetShield Pro. When you start a walk, the app uses your device's location — in both foreground and background — to keep the session running safely while your screen is locked or the app is minimized.

• Active walk session continuity when the screen is locked or the app is minimized

Background location is only used during walks you explicitly start, and stops automatically when the walk ends. Location data is never sold and never used for advertising — it powers safety and walk-monitoring features only.

How Walk Guard Premium works

You tap Start Walk inside the app. Walk Guard begins tracking the active session, analyzing weather, distance and environment in real time. If a risk is detected — high heat, prolonged duration, unsafe conditions — you receive a calm, contextual alert. When you tap End Walk, all background tracking stops immediately.

Permissions used

• Location (foreground) — required for walk tracking, weather analysis and finding nearby emergency clinics.
• Location (background) — used only during an active walk session started by you, to keep monitoring running when the screen is locked or the app is minimized.
• Notifications — to deliver intelligent walk alerts and safety reminders.
• Internet — to communicate with weather, AI and emergency-clinic services.

Location & GPS

We use your device's GPS only to deliver location-aware safety features: weather analysis for your area, walk monitoring, and locating nearby emergency veterinary clinics. Location is processed in real time and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Artificial Intelligence

The Zozoi AI assistant processes the questions you send, alongside relevant pet profile context (breed, age, location, current conditions), to generate tailored guidance. AI processing is performed through OpenAI APIs under their data processing terms.

Weather Analysis

We retrieve current and forecasted weather data based on your approximate location to assess walk risk. No personal identifiers are sent to weather providers.

Emergency Clinics

Nearby clinic results are powered by Google Places. Only your approximate coordinates are shared with the API to return relevant results.

Subscriptions & RevenueCat

Premium subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to securely validate and synchronize your subscription status across devices. RevenueCat receives only the minimum identifiers needed to manage entitlements.

Push notifications

We send notifications related to walk safety, alerts and account activity. You can disable them at any time in your device settings.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how features are used and to improve reliability. Analytics data does not include precise location, AI conversation content, or information that personally identifies you.

Service Providers

• Firebase — secure account, sync and infrastructure
• OpenAI — Zozoi AI assistant responses
• Google APIs — Maps, Places and weather services

Location is never sold

PetShield Pro does not sell your location data. Location is not used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It is used exclusively to power safety and walk-monitoring features inside the app.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We never share your pet's data with advertisers. We never access your camera, microphone or contacts without an explicit, in-context request.

Your rights

You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@petshieldpro.app.
